(Sept. 18, 2024) – Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Expect Realty located in D’Iberville, MS., is the latest firm to join the lifestyle real estate brand. The veteran-led brokerage has developed a reputation for its expertise in residential properties along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, as well as for its niche ability to assist military veterans who are purchasing property with a VA mortgage.

The six-year-old firm is led by Bryan David, a retired U.S. Army Green Beret and service-disabled combat veteran with more than 20 years of service to our nation, who also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from William Carey University. Born and raised in Biloxi, David spent the majority of his professional career as a Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer Three before redirecting his service-driven attitude toward the communities where he grew up. After returning to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, he obtained his real estate license in 2013, where he put to use his knowledge of construction and renovation that he pursued on the side of his military life. In the decade since, David has led the firm to accumulate countless glowing reviews, including many coming from the area’s veterans. Roughly 25 percent of the firm’s business is with veteran clients. David has also served two terms on the Biloxi Ocean Springs Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors.

Joining David in leadership is fellow owner, Alicia Whitaker, who has served as Director of Operations of the firm since 2019. Whitaker is a fellow Mississippi Gulf Coast native who obtained her real estate license in 2017 and her broker’s license in 2018, working alongside David ever since. Today, Whitaker plays a key role in the training and support of agents, as she regularly goes above and beyond to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the competitive Mississippi Gulf Coast market.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Expect Realty thrives on a culture of accountability, teamwork and personal growth. Led by David’s values of ownership and responsibility, the brokerage fosters a supportive, drama-free environment where agents collaborate and grow together. Agents are drawn to the firm by a passion for service and integrity, embracing a mindset of continuous improvement where every experience is an opportunity to “win or learn.” This balance of hard work, personal development and fun creates a positive atmosphere that naturally attracts those who share these values.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is one of the most unique coastal markets in the country. With plenty of waterfront properties as well as one of the five largest casino gaming markets in the U.S., the area is a hotspot for second-home buyers and primary residents alike. The region also boasts a strong military presence, as it’s home to Keesler Air Force Base, and NCB Gulfport, a naval installation home to the east coast Navy Seabees. Many of these military residents rely on VA loans to buy and sell their homes, which Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Expect Realty conveniently specializes in. The area is also popular with military retirees thanks to its proximity to the beach and excellent health care from the local VA hospital.

Details:

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Expect Realty intends to help new and experienced affiliated agents leverage the BHGRE® brand’s vast array of tools, technology and resources, including the MoxiWorks® product suite, to help streamline activities and enhance the client experience.

As the lead trainer in the firm, David is particularly interested in tapping into the many business-building resources in Be Better University®, the brand’s award-winning professional development and learning platform to help provide his affiliated agents with a competitive advantage in their market and increase productivity.

David will also leverage the brand’s recognition and sophisticated marketing assets, such as the Distinctive Collection by Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate®, the brand’s unique luxury marketing platform, to increase awareness and help grow his firm’s presence throughout Mississippi. In the next year, Bryan hopes to use these tools to help increase his current affiliated agent count to 50, with plans to eventually reach 100 agents in the next three years.

Giving back to the area’s residents is one of the core values of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Expect Realty. The firm regularly donates to the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization as well as the Green Beret Foundation. The firm also works with Toys for Tots and the local grassroots organization, Comeback Coolers, which packs ice chests with supplies for nearby communities affected by regional storms. Whitaker also has close ties with local youth sports organizations, where she previously served as Chair of Fundraising for the youth hockey league.

According to realtor.com®, the median home sales price in D’Iberville, MS, is $319,300.

“Bryan is one of the most capable real estate professionals on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He also has one of the most notable stories throughout the entire international brand network. Not only did he proudly serve his country for most of his adult life, but he also did it at the highest, most dangerous level and still came home wanting to do more. To hear Bryan’s story is incredible, and to hear the drive he has for growing his business and continuing to serve others is even more so.
